Reverse Engineer: Final Renders

Image
Reverse Engineer Project:          The assignment was to choose an item that could be easily taken apart and measured using digital calipers. A lego mini figure was chosen for my object. Looking back on the project, I would have done more work in 2D rather than 3D. I realize now, that a lot of it could have been completed in 2D and would have saved me time and energy. Overall, I am satisfied with how he turned out. It was a challenging process, but now I feel more confident with my Rhino skills.

Reverse Engineered Object: Selection

Option One: a pen.  -One of my reasons for a pen being an option is that it was recommended as a good choice for this project.  Option Two: Minecraft Steeve Lego -Minecraft Steve is an option because he has working parts, and is a bit more interesting than a pen. There aren't many parts, but the parts he does have, I feel would be a good challenge for my skill level and timeframe for the assignment.  Option Three: Rainbow Slug  -This option seems like a good choice for its repetition and simple working parts. My main choices are option 2 or 3. I think I am most likely to choose option 2 for the reason that it might challenge me a bit more than option 3.
